I don't have any first hand experience of personally interacting with foreigners. Yet I tweet about Human Unity and #WorldUnion profusely on the basis of #FiveDreams of Sri Aurobindo that was broadcast over AIR Tiruchirapalli on August 14, 1947. Exposition
Educating the educated is a formidable challenge for Savitri Era Party since most people are innocent of Sri Aurobindo. His liberating ideas are vital for establishing an ideal society anchored in mutuality and harmony. Such an emancipatory global vision needs to be brought home.
We inherited Democracy from the British with full colonial paraphernalia. Feudalism and Monarchy has been replaced by celebrity worship and servility. Ordinary life doesn't provide any sense of self-esteem. Integral Yoga of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo helps redeem this situation.
The brand of Hindutva that led to the demolition of the Babri Masjid three decades ago can never garner legitimacy in a Democracy. Any truck with it is a blot on the path to civil society. Those drunk with hubris see nothing amiss but Sri Aurobindo shows right perception on this.
There were numerous kingdoms and Hindus fought among themselves continuously. Then there were caste wars. Still some people believe in some chimerical Hindu unity and draw some sense of self-esteem from it. Fine but it's hugely delusional and can wreck a person's rational faculty

I didn't defend anyone but I feel stressing too much on that particular aspect may not be fair. Further, my grasp on history is very poor and therefore I avoid details when it comes to chapter and verse. In fact, I haven't read many books barring those relating to Sri Aurobindo.
Laudable goals but self-interest goads people to subjective territories and irrational beliefs. I haven't found any scientific attitude in exploring the role of Sri Aurobindo in service of the nation or with regard to his philosophical contribution. Hence, I'm sceptical of data.

Nothing more idiotic than comparing men with pigeons. @baruah_bj told valid things and his opponent was clearly on the backfoot. So why stop debating? That would be Kafkaesque.
Sri Aurobindo wrote a dozen books simultaneously each with a different philosophical framework. He continued to add new dimensions till his last breath. He is the only modern philosopher of such versatility that India has produced. Young Indians must read. incarnateword.in/cwsa
I was in a hostel too and an agitation that brewed in a college hostel in the other side of the country five decades back snowballed into the biggest revolution. Hindutva tasted power at the Centre. The Total or Integral revolution is yet to materialise but no need to lose hope.

Taking credit personally for what the Govt does by spending public money is unethical and anti-democratic. Further, the State endorsing persons, events, languages, courses, and cultural specifics and actively promoting them over the claims of similar items must be seen as unjust.
The beauty of Sanatana Dharma is that it accepts everything that leads to the Divine. Here there is no imposition. It lays emphasis on progress (चरैवेति) and allows to discover one's own way of moving ahead for realising the Divinity, delight, peace, happiness and harmony within.
What I have learnt from Sri Aurobindo and the Mother about progress is that it means "to be ready, at every minute, to give up all one is and all one has in order to advance on the way." That's what चरैवेति is.
, course director of #SriAurobindo course, expounded on the sacred texts of India focusing on Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita and Tantra. He lucidly explained the power of consciousness and how it can empower us for the defence of Indian Culture.
Dr. Kundan Singh elaborated on indigenous values and institutions of Indian Polity as expounded by #SriAurobindo in contrast with western models that lack spiritual insights, are hierarchical, oppressive, and limit human and societal evolution.
Dr. Anuradha Choudhry, Assistant Prof. addressed #SriAurobindo course learners on the essence of the Indian literature. Literatures from over the ages are key to unlocking embedded civilisational values, carrying the true spirit #Dharma.

Savitri Era Party is a constant reminder that opposing BJP doesn't automatically mean supporting Congress. Most people are willing to fall in this trap for different reasons. But Sri Aurobindo and his Secret of the Veda are the only ideological alternative in the present context.
Educating the educated is a formidable challenge for Savitri Era Party since most people are innocent of Sri Aurobindo. His liberating ideas are vital for establishing an ideal society anchored in mutuality and harmony. Such an emancipatory global vision needs to be brought home.
Human nature continues to be a conundrum despite humongous literature on it spanning from philosophy to fiction. Spirituality claims some insights but overall outlook based on mathematical simulations of behavioral data derived from business, economics and management is nebulous.
Democracy is not innate to human nature and needs to be inculcated on a continuous basis. Most people haven't studied political theory in the college and so fall easily in the trap of the hatred brigade. All big talk of past glory and hoary traditions are geared towards bigotry.
Being a voter is contextual but the role as a citizen is far more critical. Democracy hinges upon the idea that the majority of the voters will elect the ruler after which all citizens will accept him. Running perpetual campaigns against him can't be a healthy sign of civic life.
Political Science should have relevance outside universities but current scenario in India doesn't require any academic ratification. This is an absurd situation since no party forum debates policy nor thinks it necessary to inform the public. Theory, thus, is redundant and dead.
Prime Minister from Rajya Sabha is the greatest fraud perpetrated on our Constitution. Let there be a vigorous campaign for #PMfromLokSabha. The Rajya Sabha is the Achilles' heel of Indian Constitution as the selection of the Prime Minister from it has scuttled Democracy in India
Instead of confessing their own foolishness in believing in the superhuman traits of Modi, people are blaming him tirelessly seven years later. Read my tweets of 2013-16 when I used to criticise him without mercy. Then I realised his moderate line of functioning and lent support.
Despite their professed stand against religion, Marxists never really went ahead to dismantle it. Respect for plurality and people's preferences were held sacrosanct by them. This Democratic stance is in stark contrast to the monolithic worldview of Hindutva which RSS is tweaking

Thanks everyone for a fantastic chat, and especially to for sharing your thoughts and experience about growing up in and then coming back to a utopian village. Intentional communities are on my mind a lot, and this conversation gave me a lot to think about
"Is Auroville a cult? No, because in a cult I would be burned at the stake for writing this book." Even the wisest founders and most inspired plans are fallible. A healthy community is open to criticism, changing their minds, and iterating over their original plans.

Evergreen Essays: Dust and Delight evergreenessays.blogspot.com/2021/11/dust-a Collated by Tusar Nath Mohapatra, Director, Savitri Era Learning Forum (SELF-2005), Shipra Riviera, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad - 201014. tusarnmohapatra@gmail.com Savitri Era of those who adore, Om Sri Aurobindo & The Mother.

History is a matter of record. The fact that a higher share of the minority stayed in India and also took part in the freedom struggle resulted from #MahatmaGandhi's principles of inclusion.
RSS, Ambedkar also did not take part in the Independence movement either. There was a lot of negotiations and inclusions that continued well into the 1960s. Modern India was built with a lot of hard work.
#Hindutva is not Hinduism. Hinduism need not be Vedic. The Sanatana Dharma is only a part of Hindu culture..but politicians interpret it all as per convenience. The most vital thing to remember is that India is going through a bizarre phase where the stupid are confident.
Reality is more complex. In a quantum universe, every particle is a frozen wave. Your particle is my wave. When atoms are fuzzy culture is messy and politics a lower game
Because history, society, culture, geography and politics are five different things. Lost to those with monochromatic view of power and dominance. Literature is more powerful.
Vedas are not the most important of Hindu scriptures. The #Upanishads are. The holy Bhagavad Gita essentially sums up the Upanishads that represent the highest evolution of the seeking mind. Vedic religion is more social tradition than spirituality. #Himduism.
Sri Aurobindo had a strong non-denominational spirituality. He was not parochial. He did not confuse culture with spirituality. With the Mother, he ushered in modern Hinduism. Beyond the Vedas, with his own meditative insights
My criticism of Nehru or Mahatma or Congress also don't warrant my unconditional support to RSS or VHP or whatever. My contention is to err is to human. So everyone from Gandhi to Nehru to Savarkar --- all made some blunders...grave at times but it doesn't+
Mean that you overglorify som1 while demonise some other and that too on some baseless allegations. I can't vouch for Gowalkar or Hedgewar or Godse fir that matter but in case of Savarkar, I must say he has been unjustfiedly disgraced!
