Savitri Era of those who adore,
Om Sri Aurobindo & The Mother.
Hot take: Popular Hindu apologist Swami Vivekananda is overhyped. His works are basic and indistinguishable from a typical self help book. Contrast that with a Catholic apologist GK Chesterton whose every sentence is brimming with profound philosophy. Hindus need a GK Chesterton.

Agreed with the overrated Vivekananda part but Chesterton was an author and never got into active social work/politics,did he,? And yeah the self help line is spot on,nothing incisive, just empty words that can can be quoted by a Chuddi handle. His guru I find more interesting.
Vivek was interesting as a man, not his ideas..was the first Indian man to attract Western women, that too from their aristocratic class, just by existing. Key to Vivekananda is his practice of Brahmacharya. you can toss his books aside. While you are it you can toss aside RK too
RK too? Yeah he might not have been as articulate but dunno, maybe the bhakti yogi in me has a soft spot. And perfect point about the brahmacharya part unrelated, but Bose , tagore, all great, but generally feel Bengalis are unduly overrated in our history.
other Indians never bothered to articulate themselves in English. making them inaccessible not only to the world but also to RoIndia.South thinkers r inaccessible cuz Dravidians states never agreed on 1 language the way N did regarding Hindi.every non.H speaker in N understands H

I think the most profound and intelligent guy we had was Sri Aurobindo.

I don’t have anything particular in mind but for GK Chesterton’s writing there’s this bot that post his writing excerpts . Every line is full of profundity. Such brevity is rarely seen in Swami Vivekananda’s writing
I mean Vivekananda in many ways was a practical person giving practical solutions. Yes they are vague but better than following superstitious things of Hinduism
I strongly recommend you (if you haven't done it already) to read Sri Aurobindo's works, and moreover, the works of the woman who was Sri Aurobindo's companion, La Mère.
Dear Arpan,
I hope you will read Sri Aurobindo over and over again.
He and Mother have been what made a better human being out of me, and more than anything, they helped to conquer fear.
Have a good day!

Unfortunately, Netaji Bose forgot Sri Aurobindo's advice and went to Nazi Hitler and his ally Japan to win freedom for India during WW II. If Bose's INA and the Japanese Army had defeated British Indian Army, India won't have got freedom for another 300 yrs, said Sri Aurobindo.
India was saved by The Mother’s spiritual action from dreadful destruction, 60 years ago, in October 1962

There is a compilation of Sri Aurobindo's letters to his disciples, 4 volumes, 1000s of pages. He talks about different planes, entities and negative forces that attack humans, from suggesting things to complete possession. But, all this is considered nonsense. Science is narrow.
(3/n) witnessing the likes of Sri Aurobindo, Swamiji, Yogananda along with great depression followed by Industrial revolutions. They had a one pointed ambition to be stable and make their successors stable. Thus both Silent Gen & Boomers were focused on Stability. Some...

The Divine Being has taken birth long back to protect Sanatana Dharma, commissioned by none other than Lord Krishna as Sri Aurobindo, according to a saint, extremely close to the Sage Himself and the Mother! The Being exists behind the veil.,
