So RSS-BJP writers authored ~1% of all columns in 3 national newspapers. What’s the point of this article? The data goes against the basic hypothesis!
To those who have enjoyed a monopoly for so long, even the semblance of competition looks like an impossible imposition (My rough calculation suggests around 3% but Shamika’s point more than stands)
Bhajipao pata nahi kitne litfest karva rahi hai. Every alternate week there is one. Secularist have only one in Jaipur but it hogs more limelight and attention than all Bhajipao fest combined.
Replying to
Loathing of Leftists aside, the fact is all too real that they are privy to human condition, can be empathetic & driven & atleast make you think. What Bhajipao has is a bunch of grifters who groan about leftist hegemony & their own lack of narrative, whilst debating nothing else

No frame of their own. No disruptive line of thinking against dominant western paradigms. Some are good speakers, but overall they are average brains, so average outcome.
Burke, Heidegger, Schmitt, Strauss, Hayek, Waugh, Knausgaard etc. are conservative even reactionary thinkers who have produced work of worth. India today lacks even a single genuine rightwing intellectual. Instead, we have this sorry rogue's gallery of toadies and opportunists

And equally 'dumb' if they imagine that the "real world" is outside the cave, rather than just a much more persuasive simulation; the simulation - the acting out of fictions and fantasies/escape from the traumatic Real - that is quotidian reality itself.
Hunger Games: Theory Edition: Day 2 Sam Harris, after utilizing his moral calculus, carries out the most murderous act yet, killing Spinoza, Jordan Peterson, Bakunin and Foucault with a bomb
What’s the most embarrassing book you’ve had on your bookshelf? Mine is probably “The Moral Landscape” by Sam Harris.
‘Mahavira, (…), surpassed the morality of the Bible with a single sentence: “Do not injure, abuse, oppress, enslave, insult, torment, torture, or kill any creature or living being.” Imagine how different our world might be if the Bible contained this as its central precept.’
Sam Harris writes in “Letter to a Christian Nation.”
“If you think that it would be impossible to improve upon Ten Commandments as a statement of morality, you really owe it to yourself to read some other scriptures.. we need look no further than the Jains.. Jain fundamentalism would endanger no one.” Sam Harris. #MahavirJayanti

"What has come over us? The manner of formulation matters, because we must remain suspicious of modernist fables in which a war is waged between the celebration of the greatness of Man and the denunciation of his Guilt. These ready-to-wear thoughts never seem to fail to give us
trivial answers that confirm our eminent responsibility and give others only the role of victim, even while dressing these victims in the innocence we have lost." -Isabelle Stengers (Making Sense in Common, p. 166)
