[HTML] Happiness analysis: Need for cross-cultural interventions across religions

VN Rao, A Jagannathan, KV Vani - Journal of Applied Consciousness Studies, 2023
… According to sri aurobindo, happiness is the natural state of humanity despite the
dualities of pain and pleasure experienced by humankind (Misra and Miśra, 1998).

Parliament is fast losing its relevance in this government.
#Adani stocks are falling again. Because Parliament Street is not Wall Street. Global capital follows global rules.
What interference is needed? Banks have said they are comfortable with assets and exposure, LIC is still sitting on profits! So…?

Investment principles were probably violated. Needs enquiry. We need to know the investment philosophy, guidelines and rules as shareholder citizens of government majority company. LIC & SBI are systematically important public institutions, not pvt companies.
Their Boards will do that. They are responsible. Their auditors will review.they follow process. The regulators will review. As it is they have less operational freedom. Why enquiry?
Replying to
Because policy holders, taxpayers and citizens demand accountability from public sector companies. Rules are different for public sector companies.
Rules are those adopted by respective boards. So what is different? They have multiple audits. Why do you pre suppose there is misuse? All fiduciary agents have same rules set by the regulators. Does IRDA,RBI,Sebi have differential rules?
Democracy works on citizenship, consumer rights and taxpayer accountability. CAG is also needed as is parliament. These are in addition to what you mention.

The Samanwaya or the harmonising section is interesting but instead of the old and established religions, why new religions like following The Mother & Sri Aurobindo can't be candidates for the future needs sympathetic consideration. Their evolutionary vision shouldn't be ignored
From a Dharmic Sangathan perspective, we must be very careful in how we say what we say. Those who disagree on core issues we have to outgrow them. But those who broadly agree they should never be alienated due to rhetoric. Being sensitive, precise is key. PM Modi does this well.
Replying to
Of course no one is perfect, and for myself in any case this is very much in the realm of aspiration. Nonetheless, this should be our North Star. Intentions very much matter but only up to an extent. If you are in the persuasion business- ethos, logos and pathos all three matter.
Under Which Conditions Did the Greeks “Believe” in Their Myths?: The Religious Criteria of Adherence orbi.uliege.be/bitstream/2268 I find this topic fascinating. Away from kitsch-vanguard where symbolism is implied but mystery is emphasised there are laymen with real spiritual needs.
I find this fascinating especially because till about my early 20s I would genuinely think of myself as very agnostic. There was no Eureka moment. It was a gradual transition. Called life. The beauty of Dharma is it led me to faith without undermining my skepticism. Works for me.
