This looks to be a political platform. Sad to see @AuroSociety is drifting in actively towards a particular side. Perhaps not in sync with it's foundation principle to remain apolitical.

Rather, it's good in a way; false façades should fall off so that the less informed public is not befooled. Let's accept the fact that organisations degenerate and new ones germinate in the course of Evolution. Discerning that is important for any alert individual. @PondyLitFest

Theology shouldn't be seen as a problem rather the unbearable burden of Analytic Philosophy in the College syllabi. Continental Philosophy has traversed much far but students in India are not being permitted to taste the latest flavours like OOO of @DrZamalek and @LarvalSubjects.

Ethics is fictional and aspirational. To be found as formulated only in plays or epics. Attributing it to persons is partial or whitewash. Vices are intrinsic to human drama as conflicts are to biology. So expecting politicians, judges, or journalists of pure virtue is but absurd

Gita is praised to the skies but it's the most confusing text with dishonest interpolations and lifting of tenets. No wonder, several sects are propagating it for their own specific motives. Reciting two lines from it ritualistically may impart religious halo but it's hypocrisy.

Savitri Era Party favours India as a Federation with States as Sovereign Republics. Awareness against Hindutva appropriating Sri Aurobindo is a priority as well as campaign against Astrology, Mythology, & Rituals. So also espousing Modernity, English, Science, Critical Reason etc

When others are busy extolling tradition, temples, and tyranny of rituals, The Mother & Sri Aurobindo present an escape route to break free and breathe some fresh air by enjoying myriad dimensions of one's unique individuality and exploring its diverse evolutionary possibilities.

India's Rebirth, a concise compilation of Sri Aurobindo's words, is a caricature of his luminous and voluminous works spread over forty tomes. Many Hindutva hands pick on Gandhi or Muslims by quoting from this mischievously edited book. Let's discover the greater #SriAurobindo.

Scholars from Ambedkar to Ashis Nandy, from Sita Ram Goel to Arun Shourie are just primers and shouldn't be allowed to be the dominant template. Even Rajiv Malhotra and S.N. Balagangadhara, Koenraad Elst or Michel Danino fall in the same category. Sri Aurobindo is the finishing coat

Reading is indispensable for intellectual growth but interdisciplinary studies often peddle some bias. Marxists tend to ignore Sri Aurobindo and hence a good test of a book's worth is to move to its Index first to check whether Sri Aurobindo's name appears or to what extent cited

Sri Aurobindo rebelled against the past and revealed entirely new worldviews based on some ancient texts. Barring a handful of friends, his contemporaries resisted him even as he received lukewarm response from the West. His critique of science has been scientifically vindicated.

Fighting Hitler is the pivotal significance of Sri Aurobindo and not merely opposing British or eulogising India. The menace of Fascism is always present and dubious ecosystems are vulnerable to falling in its trap unless tethered to strong ideological frameworks. Theory matters.

Feelings and opinions of those born in the latter half of 20th century should be of material importance so that the legacy of Colonial India is given a burial. 1947 shouldn't dictate the policies and projections relating to present realities. So no reliance on historical analysis

So, you're inching towards my unequivocal position, it appears.

Folks do you realize that if there we no Aryans coming from steppe bringing us language - there were also no "Indo-Iranians" who became Zarathushtra's ancestors. This is what I write about here: https://t.co/51kZ7PJA9O

First let’s start with the Purusha Sukta. This is an important Hymn that is a part of Mandala 10 of the Rig Veda Samhita. This Sukta is particularly important to Vaishnavites because it is seen as the foundation of Vaishnava thought and Bhagavata theology
Adi Sankara was very vocal in his criticism of Pancharatra. He called it non-vedic, an allegation denied by Pancharatra-adherents throughout the ages. As per Sankara, the theistic approaches in Pancharatra interfered with monastic and spiritual pursuits which are more important

Agreed. The dominance of Advaita esp after Vivekanand in shaping popular Hindu thought has blunted the philosophical & intellectual vibrancy of the Hinduism leading to stagnation, which then results in cults like Sai Baba and all.... https://t.co/wYderRG2kO

Caste system is our reality. Even the most educated, widely travelled are casteist (extent may vary). You're either in denial or just want to sound cool when you claim to be 'above all this'. And then we mock the political system for making elections all about caste.

Sri Aurobindo used the term “polytheist” in a derogatory manner. He also explicitly stated that monotheism was superior to “sun worship.. sky worship.. fire worship”. He criticized the “ritualistic, mythological” interpretation of Sayana on equal footing with “naturalistic” European interpretation. Monotheism was, in his words, “high conception”. Why?
During this period, the Christians had indulged in a full invective against Hinduism. To be sure, anti-polytheist and anti-idolatrous ideologies of Islamic age ruled the roost prior to this period and many Hindus internalised these thoughts. Against this background emerged the Christian attacks on Hinduism as “polytheist” or “idolatrous”. These invectives had been ingrained deeply into the psyche of the society by the popular nirguni bhakti poems. That “polytheism is a vice” was a ubiquitously accepted stand.
You can't fight poison with poison. Only with fact and calm logic. All of us have to submit to that. The much-hated idea of 'Aryans' being immigrants in India is a fact. And now we know the Harappans were 'Ancestral South Indian'. My piece with @Orangutard
The 'Out of India' theory is a hastily cooked up idea...they toiled hard and heroically to find logic for it post facto. One admires their derring-do and energy. But one must submit to logic finally, not be moved by fantasy.

Vivekananda was a communist. Please read his works. I am against Vivekananda as much as I am against communism
Aurobindo was smart he advocated a panchayat raj type system based on dharma. Panchayats need more power on not just judiciary but also in executive and legislation.

Despite being a contemporary of Sri Aurobindo and Rabindranath Tagore, Subramanya Bharathi remained largely unsung during his lifetime.

“I would say that no human being is without religion and that every human being is in a way beyond himself, that is, insane.”

Nisha Sachdeva
Rafi and Dharmendra delivered many hits together. It goes to Dharmendra's credit that he stuck to Rafi even during the latter's lean perod during the first half of the seventies. It was probably this strong individuality of Dharmendra that helped him to weather the storms of both Rajesh Khanna & Amitabh Bachchan and still remain on top.
