The first job that I ever had was in the Indian Air Force. Even before, I studied to be a doctor in an institution run by the Armed Forces. Even before, I studied in a school managed by the Sri Aurobindo Ashram. Sri Aurobindo, before he became a mystic and retreated to Pondicherry in the pursuit of spirituality was one of those advocated the use of violence in the freedom and was imprisoned in what is now termed the Alipur Bomb case where he was eventually acquitted.
In all these milieus, I was taught Indian culture, tradition and patriotism in one sense or the other and I never thought of anything else other than an Indian. That I could be anything else never occurred to me. However the recent diatribes about nationalism and patriotism have sent me scurrying to the dictionary trying to imbibe the finer points between being a patriot and a nationalist. This is because I am a Christian, and this finer point is something that minorities are having to explore more than others...
As a former soldier, protecting the security and sovereignty of my country, is something I was taught to cherish. Beyond that, caring for all of the human race that I come across and indeed the entire created order is today as critical to me as contrasting calls and definitions of a nationalist and a patriot.
Yet I am uncomfortable and even reject the narrow nationalism that is currently sought to be thrust upon us by invoking, god, scripture and myth and the black and white classification that one is either a goat or one is a sheep that one has to be necessarily devout and demonstrative in a specifically sanctioned way or be damned… That is not the India I served, that is not the Indian culture that I was taught in the inclusive embrace of Sri Aurobindo's Ashram and even the Church community where I now belong and I am too far down this inclusive road to even bother changing my stripes….to saffron. During past sixty years the Congress and the Communists have done exactly what has been advised to avoid in this article, and now they are the leading lights of Indian Universities and the intelligentsia of this nation. We shall have to throw them out with our own efforts in understanding the Indian Culture and then with the sword of this knowledge undo the seated demons of the present day. New breed of shining intellect is on the rise and have started giving new directions. The nation is on the move in the right direction as advised by Sri Aurobindo.

Sri Aurobindo considered humans are evolutionary beings who at present are certainly not absolutely made and are only inside of a transitional period of time. To him, intuition in human beings are just glimpses of wider and better self-figuring out information outside of human intelligence, a understanding the place there isn't any division concerning the information and the individual acquiring the knowledge and exactly where comprehension of reality is in its entirety, presently he finds the brain normally twists and usually diminishes the quality of expertise from instinct.
The issue with sympathy is the fact while you are in the middle of the feeling, you drop the large image of what's taking place and can't 'browse' it with the exact same clarity that an empath has the capacity to do.

Despite coming to power BJP has not been able to build an iota of intellectual legitimacy for any of its pet agenda on socio-political front
Today being BJP foundation day, it wont be a bad idea to make current BJP leadership listen to ABV speech of that day & also of MC Chagla's!
Biggest mystery to me on #BJPFoundationDay is BJPs amazing ability to alienate its core- repeatedly so- yet not doing anything about it
Another mystery to me on #BJPFoundationDay is BJPs amazing ability to mess up its communication despite having some of best communicators
On #BJPFoundationDay a Q'n worth asking- why voting BJP back to power is responsibility of core only-wat abt BJPs resp 2wards its core?
Biggest disservice to cause of Modi sarkaar r supporters who justify each and every action just as conserfs used to-
Qn that we as BJP supporters should be asking-what would have been our reaction had it been a Cong & not BJP govt at centre/JK #NITSrinagar
@ScorpiusMaximus that wont last long and they will get a bigger crash landing sooner they realize its better @alok_bhatt
I think Modi govt is adjusting to the inevitable reality of backstabbing from the Urban Hindutva gang, he needs to go for rural votes
Appreciate Ramdev Baba for boldly countering this LGBT narrative of RSS and SriSri under Hindu mask
RSS thinks Hindus are fools and it has successfully fooled them for decades, this LGBT activism should awake many genuine hindu symathizers
LGBT activism is integral part of the global mafia, RSS leadership singing their song
What is RSS position on pre-marital sex, live-in relationships, incest, sex with animals? ain't these personal choices?
Couldn't RSS leader buggers wait for five more years before their silly resolution on reservations?
Modi taking great pains to explain dalits/OBCs on reservations, the more he talks more he creates doubt, RSS buggers stabbed him in back
I cannot imagine a more stupid government than NDA1, either it was very stupid or thoroughly compromised
@mitasarkar4 I don't give a fig about any party - I am completely apolitical. My only concerns are national interests.
Just goes to show extent of BJP's power lust vs their principles (if they really had any at any time).
