Mark my words:  #RSS covets the secular label & will appropriate it one day while continuing to be thoroughly against a secular state.

In the last four years, Prime Minister @narendramodi has successfully introduced structural reforms in virtually all areas.  So wide has been the range that only highlights can fit in a newspaper column. My article in ToI today:  https://t.co/dUTw4uB4Xu

Gotta love Minoo! Lets re-start the Swatantra Party--party of social and economic liberals, led by the "wisest man in India" C. Rajagopachari https://t.co/vg7hI6s7RH

Minoo Masani was not only a liberal but also a free market advocate of Capitalism that Modi ji claimed he would usher in before he plunked for Nehruvian socialism & state controls. https://t.co/eUsfziLnZ5

Book Club: The Code [Robot] Economy

Here is what @OneFish_2Fish & I think, commodities & energy will catapult India into a developed nation. 1st step will be from low income to middle income. The cultural side effects of this will be immense political & economic clout for India & Hindus in particular
The church has always been a tool for imperialistic western powers. Hence, the mobilization flock to attack the copper plant. Just like Kudankulam
This protest has nothing to do with pollution but a successful attempt by foreign powers to derail the emergence of strong economic middle income India. That's really it actually. Pretty damn obvious. Thank you again @OneFish_2Fish for the great insight

Across Western Europe, the church’s once mighty footprint has faded. Church attendance has plummeted, parishes are merging, and new priests and nuns are in short supply.

Pollock's interpretation of the Ramayana is demeaning and highly political, regardless of his translation. Please read that as well. He rejects the spiritual and yogic background of Sanskrit and turns it into a form of caste oppression. https://t.co/BJZInrQC1r

Just got hold of “Republic of Caste: Thinking Equality in the Time of Neoliberal Hindutva”, the #NewBook by Anand Teltumbde. Reading this today, looks like another impressive work (his earlier book “Mahad” is a masterpiece). #ambedkar #Equality #caste #Hindutva @Buffaloeskissin https://t.co/tzNV7vmVbF

sir specifically I am no fan of their  lack of flexibility either, they take the gaudiya vaishnavism too literally.but at the same time, this rigour also helps in preserving the original scriptures and traditions intact.
demands and needs of his era, Chaitanya Prabhu invented some novel concepts like kirtan or even ghar wapsi of nonhindus back to GaudiyaVaishnavism. specifically the mass casteless kirtan concept surely had sent waves of positivity in an otherwise caste ridden hindu society.
the advantage is that, when the seeds are sown braving all odds in new unknown terrains/nations by iskcon, sooner or later, other hindu orgs and individuals can take the work forward from there on.and if iskcon does that even with a bit of institutional rigidity, thats still ok.

See the words 'cloudless blue'. From this imagine the 'unnatural fog' that blinded the Germans n allowed the cornered Anglo french 2  escape from Dunkirk and humanity was saved from then on. @raptor_fossil @viryavaan @pronam_bharat @Auro_Mere @Sanjays81301051 @CLINGTOTRUTH

Right sir,Dunkirk is a military and historical mystery till date,as to why the german panzer battalions ,which could have converted the city to dust in 3-4 hours, chose to leave few lakh enemy soldiers mercifully. Dunkirk invasion would hv  been a decisive setback for britain.
When Dunkirk saga was happening,British military establishment was in a bad shape.their ordnance factories and ammo reserves were not even upto the mark to counter German invasion on their own soil, leave alone France. It was only after Dunkirk that they felt the need

Can we find a better theory to replace liberalism? https://t.co/0yNZGTLAAJ https://t.co/WOVKSt7z9A

I've not read Pinker's new book but here we have an evisceration of it by the English philosopher Gray. I think discerning H will find points of great interest in Gray's essay.

Many Enlightenment thinkers have been avowedly or implicitly hostile to liberalism. The link between the Enlightenment and liberal values, which Pinker and many others today assert as a universal truth, is actually rather tenuous. Instead of acknowledging that the Enlightenment itself has often been illiberal, Pinker presents a Manichean vision

Sri Aurobindo and Swami Vivekananda, Lala Lajpat Rai and Vallabhbhai Patel, Peshwa,Bajirao, Jat king Suraj Mal, Rajput icon Maharana Pratap and Chhatrapati Shivaji, hv either been introduced or have more space dedicated to them in the new History textbooks https://t.co/8wO6n8yw3h
Aurobindo was removed & matter on Vivekananda reduced during UPA. Now changed again.

The best way to go beyond politics is to spread the message of Sri Aurobindo. Because he is no more a political element wanting to take power; there are only his ideas and ideals. And of course if people could understand and realise his programme, the country could be very strong
